Nile Dinner Cruises
in Cairo : begin everyday for two
times , from 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M.,
from 9:30 P.M. to 11:30 P.M. + transportation
by modern A/C car
the best way to enjoy the magical
of the Nile River is aboard a Nile
dinner cruiser. Some of these boats
are, in fact, converted Nile passenger
ships, which stay out usually for
several hours and include good food,
fine entertainment, and a romantic
evening gazing at the lights along
the the banks. Really, this is one
form of entertainment that should
not be missed on a visit to Egypt.
The boats are quite fascinating inside
and out. They have a very good entertainment
program with a belly dancer, a Tanoora
show, and a live band. They also have
the best quality of service one can
find on a Nile cruise in Egypt. They
offer a huge open buffet with a lot
of items. Mainly there are international
dishes, with some Egyptian specialties.
Cairo Tower :
It's
a huge modern creation overloking
the city. A real must for any
lover of panoramas and aerial
photography. When the day is
good you will get a glimose
of virtually every corner of
the Nile Delta, including the
famous Pyramids of Giza. Come
by night and you will see all
the lights of Cairo below you.
For those who like to drink
a cup of coffee from time to
time: the restaurant at the
top is excellent. |

Alexandria
City (Full day begin at 8:00 A.M from
cairo + guide + lunch + transportation
by Modern A/C car) :
The Mediterranean
port of Alexandria, named after Alexander
the Great, and the setting for Lawrence
Durrell’s The Alexandria Quartet,
is a popular day trip from Cairo.
Locals make the 225km (140-mile) journey
northwest to enjoy the beaches, the
main promenade and the slightly cooler
temperatures. The beaches are nothing
out of the ordinary and are packed
at busy times but there are other
attractions too. The most recent addition
is the Library (Bibliotheque) of Alexandria,
The Citadel of Qaitbai was built in
1479 allegedly on the site of, and
from the stones of, the Lighthouse
of Pharaos, one of the seven wonders
of the ancient world. There are several
museums worth visiting too: the Graeco-Roman
Museum, Royal Jewellery Museum, Fine
Art Museum, Naval Museum, Marine Life
Museum and Cavafy Museum among them.
Beautiful mosques and palaces also
make this a trip worth.
Al Fayyum Oasis (Full
day trip to the oasis begin 8:30 A.M.
+ guide + lunch + transportation by

waterwheels and visit to the Pyramid
of Maidum. Lunch. Roundtrip 300 kms.
The Fayyum Oasis lies in depression,
right in the Western Desert, about
103 km. south-west of Cairo. It is
surrounded by high plateaus, and separated
from the Nile Valley by a high ridge
to the east at al-Lahun. The oasis
is famed for its all-year-round pleasant
climate and beautiful scenery. There
is evidence of pre-historic settlements
as well as Pharaonic, Greek Roman,
Coptic, & Islamic monuments. Fayyum
boosts a combination of rural, coastal,
desert, and urban environments, and
thus holds out great attractions to
tourists. The Hawara Pyramid (shown
to the right) dating from (1991-1778
BC) can be found here. The Oases provides
a vast amount of tourist attractions.
Ismailia
CitY(Full day begin 8:30 A.M+lunch+transportation
by modern A/C car ):

Is located on Lake
Timsah along the coast of the Canal,
half-way between Port Said and Suez.
The Governorate consists of five cities;
Ismailia, Fayed, Al-Tal Al-Kabeer,
Qantara west and east.
Suez Canal :
The idea of a canal linking the
Mediterranean to the Red Sea dates
back to ancient times. Unlike the
modern Canal, earlier ones linked
the Red Sea to the Nile, therefore
forcing the ships to sail along the
River on their journey from Europe
to India. It has been suggested that
the first Canal was dug during the
reign of Tuthmosis III. It was Napoleon's
engineers who, around 1800 AD, revived
the idea of a shorter trade route
to India via a Suez Canal. In 1859,
Egyptian workers started working on
the construction of the Canal in conditions
described by historians as slave labor,
and the project was completed around
1867. On November 17, 1869, the Canal
was officially inaugurated by Khedive
Ismail in an extravagant and lavish
ceremony. French, British, Russian,
and other Royalty were invited for
the inauguration which coincided with
the re-planning of Cairo
Pharaonic village: Full day OR half
day tour:

Description: The
village is located on Jacob’s
island on the southern outskirts of
Cairo. This complex of reconstructed
temples, villages, workshops and canals
provides a living demonstration of
the life in ancient Egypt. The Pharaonic
Village is an experience like no other.
The instant you begin sailing down
the canals that circuit through the
island you are immersed totally in
the Egypt of history and legend. Everywhere
you look, you will find more and more
of the sights and sounds of ancient
Egypt, until finally you could believe
that you have truly traveled through
time to a distant and glorious past.
And some of the sights you will see
are veritable masterpieces, faithful
to their ancient originals in every
detail.
Sound & light performance at
Giza Pyramids:

When night falls,
the Pyramids disappear behind the
curtain of the night, and a flood
of lights is let loose. The glory
music comes from the depth of the
desert and recalls to life a piece
of Pharaonic history.
Duration: The performance itself takes
50 minutes. The show begins with the
story of The Sphinx who has been the
vigilant guardian of the city of the
dead for five thousand years. The
show depicts the story of building
the pyramids of Keops, Kephren , Mykerinos
and relates the history of great and
famous figures of ancient Egypt such
as Thutmosis IV , Akhnaten , Nefertiti
and Tut Ankh Amon

El-Sorian
Monastery - Wadi El Natroun
Full day begin from Cairo or Alexandria
at 8:30 A.M+guide+lunch+transportation
by Modern A/C car

The Holy Family
at Wadi El Natroun Their trail from
Sakha, is recorded in the documentation
of Pope Theophilus' vision, and attested
to by Coptic practice in the Christian
era. For it was to Wadi el-Natroun
(Natroun Valley) that they now came,
after crossing the Rosetta branch
of the Nile to the western Delta and
heading south into Wadi el-Natroun
(then called Al Asqeet) in the Western
Desert of Egypt. In the earliest decades
of Christianity, the desert expanses
of Wadi el-Natroun became the site
of anchoretic settlement and, later,
of many monasteries, in spiritual
commemoration of the Holy Family's
passage through the Valley.
ST. Catherine monastery&Moses
Mountain

· Full day from Sharm Elsheikh,
from Dahab, from Nuweiba
· 2 Days / 1 Night From Cairo
( one night accommodatin )
· include guide+lunch+transportation
by A/C car
Set beneath
the mountain where Moses is
said to have received the Ten
Commandments, Saint Catherine
Monastery has been one of the
world’s great centers
of religious pilgrimage for
over fifteen centuries. Within
its imposing walls rests a citadel
like no other, incredibly rich
in important religious and historical
structures. Among its treasures
is a library of ancient manuscripts
and icons second only to the
Vatican's itself, and a 6th
century church reputed to lie
directly on the site of the
Burning Bush. Quite simply,
the monastery is a defining
feature of the Holy Land. |
|
Moses Mountain:
the mountain where
God spoke to Moses. That, at least,
is the overwhelming belief, and the
belief itself has drawn pilgrims for
over a thousand years. Although no
archeological evidence of Moses' presence
on the mountain exists, there are
abundant relics of faith throughout
the eons. Ancient chapels and structures
honoring saints and the Virgin Mary
appear all along the main route, called
Sikket Saydna Musa ("The Path
of Moses"), including a stone-hewn
arch where, long ago, a monk once
sat and heard confession from the
pilgrims. Nearing the summit, one
encounters the natural amphitheater
where the 70 wise men waited while
God spoke with Moses, then finally
a small chapel and mosque at the top.
It seems strange, almost, to speak
of a mountain like Mt. Sinai in clinical
terms. There is so much mystery surrounding
the mountain, so much spiritual projection
and adulation, that one can easily
forget that it is, after all, a mountain,
and climbing it requires an individual
to be in moderate shape. It takes
about 3 hours to climb the 7,498-foot
peak following the Path of Moses,
a stairway of nearly 4,000 steps.
There is a longer, less strenuous
route up the opposite side, though
it is less scenic. In both cases,
one should bring good hiking shoes
and plenty of water, the latter of
which Moses himself probably brought
when he climbed it.
